What better way to enjoy the fall than to treat your eyes to some chocolate? Yes, CHOCOLATE. Too Faced cosmetics has the very palette to feast your eyes to some decadent colors that resemble different chocolate (and other sweet treats) flavors. You can mix and match rich browns, creamy pinks and flesh tones, and pops of violet and burgundy. All this goodness is packed in the Chocolate Bar Palette. Not only does the palette itself look like chocolate, the eyeshadows themselves SMELL like chocolate as well. I bought mine at ULTA last March for $49. I love using this palette for daytime looks. Some colors are great for nighttime looks too, especially the darker brown colors and the lone violet game changer that stands out.
Anyway, I am kicking off a small, small series of fall eye of the day or night looks using this palette only. This first eye of the day (or date) is a cherry chocolate theme with a side of caramel. I incorporated a few other flavors...errr...shades as well, which aren't so dominant in the look.
After priming my lids all the way up to my brow bone area too, I applied ELF Studio Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Soireee on my lids as a base. It's a plummy, burgundy shade that ties in very nicely to Cherry Cordial (a brownish burgundy), which I patted down on my lids.
On my crease, I swiped and blended in Salted Caramel (a peachier, not even golden like usual version of the actual caramel color). I also ran that color along my lower lash line. For more definition, I added Amaretto (a warm, mid-tone reddish brown) to define the outer corners of my crease. Speaking of definition, I wanted a little more darkness to my lower lash line, so I smudged Triple Fudge (a rich, deep, cool-toned brown) right on the Salted Caramel I previously applied in that area.
As brow bone highlight and transition colors above the crease, I used shimmery and creamy flesh-tone shades of Champagne Truffle and Marzipan.
For the finishing touches on my eyes, I tight-lined the upper and lower waterline with MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack. On my lashes, I used Cover Girl's LashBlast Waterproof Volume Mascara in Black Brown (dried out, so not in picture) and layered it with a coat of L'Oreal Miss Manga Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black.
I contoured my cheeks with Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in Sun Light and blended in Too Faced Pinch My Petals blush. (Although the latter is discontinued, any matte light, pinky nude blush will do.)
Last, but not the least, the lip colors I used to complete the whole look are Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Honey and Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Princess.
It's time for the photos now. The eyeshadow colors will be ordered in the way I wrote the paragraphs...if that made sense. I know I should label them. Last time I attempted that, it ruined and compromised the picture quality. So, please bear with me. ;)
